Good value with the offer

I got the family ticket for the Easter Trail, which included Castle and Gardens Admission. I was looking for something affordable for the kids, and this deal was pretty good. Saved a bit compared to buying individual tickets. The whole experience felt worth what we paid. I was a bit worried about parking costs, but it was included. The trail itself was fun for the kids, and we spent most of the day there. Definitely felt like I got good value for my money.

Always a great day out

We bought our Castle and Gardens Admission tickets online again, just like last year. The process was smooth, no surprises there. We know what to expect, and Belvoir always delivers. Took us about an hour and a half to get there from Nottingham, traffic was decent. The gardens were lovely, as usual, and the castle interiors are always impressive. It's a reliable choice for a family day, that's why we keep coming back.

Considering a glamping stay here vs. Warwick Castle's glamping. Anyone done both or have strong opinions on Belvoir's glamping? Is it actually 'luxury'?

N Nathan Wright 1 month ago
I haven't done Warwick's, but Belvoir's glamping was really nice. Definitely felt more 'luxury' than just a fancy tent. Proper beds, nice facilities. It was a good experience.

Belvoir's glamping is pretty solid. It's more about the peaceful setting and slightly upscale experience than like, full-on hotel luxury, if that makes sense. It's not a themed experience like Warwick though, so depends what you're after.

Thinking of going for Christmas. Does the early bird for Christmas tickets actually give a decent discount, or is it just like a quid off?

M Mary T. 1 month ago
Yeah, I grabbed them last year for the Christmas market. It was probably like 15% off, something like that. Definitely worth it if you know you're going.

It's not massive, but it's not nothing. Usually like 10-20% off for early bird stuff, so yeah, worth keeping an eye out for when they drop.

planning a trip to belvoir, wondering if I can just show up and buy tickets at the gate for the castle and gardens? Or do I have to book online in advance?

K Kyle Taylor 1 week ago
You can buy at the gate, but it's usually cheaper online and you guarantee entry, especially for busy days. Sometimes they limit numbers.

Yeah, booking online is always better. Saves you time queuing too. Plus, sometimes they have online-only deals, I think.

How dog friendly is it really? I want to bring my dog but don't want to drag him around if he can only go in like, one tiny corner.

R Richard 6 days ago
The gardens are pretty dog friendly, and there's usually a good walk around. But the castle itself, no dogs inside. Just a heads up.

Dogs are good for the grounds and some outdoor areas, but not in the main castle rooms or some of the indoor attractions. They have doggy walking passes though, so clearly they encourage it for the outside bits.

Anyone know if Belvoir Castle offers Blue Light Card discount? My partner is a nurse and it'd be good to save a bit.

R Rachel Hall 1 month ago
I think I saw something on their site about it, or maybe it was an old promotion? Worth checking their FAQ directly, but I'm pretty sure they do. Most places like that do now.

They do! You just need to show it when you're buying tickets or entering, I forget which, but it's usually 10% or so.
